Aviel Alvarez and his family
REACHING THE ARKANSAS AND BEYOND...
The future is the most exciting part of the vision we share for the ministry of the reconciliation with our Hispanic brothers and sisters. Demographic information continues to point to the fact that substantial increases in this particular population will filter into the geographic area into the foreseeable future.
We have been blessed with ample financial backing locally as well as from organizations such as Church Planters of the Rockies and some front range churches. From the beginning, Holly Christian Church and Lamar Christian Church have been primarily involved with funding and building, etc.
We are presently recruiting Hispanic ministers and looking at more sites for them to evangelize and start churches.
This ministry, which was only a dream more than ten years ago, became a prayer burden and then reality. In 1999, some Anglo Christians in Holly, Colorado were used by God to begin the work after much prayer, faith, and trust in what God could do. The first two churches were formed in Holly and Lamar, CO.
Aviel Alvarez and family were the first on the scene.
Aviel and his family came to us from Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico. He is a graduate from Colegio Biblico of Eagle Pass, Texas. He is a seasoned preacher in his 30's, full of passion for reaching the lost for Jesus. Aviel and Elisa are both talented musicians.
